Studio Art at Hamilton is what pushed me toward film. It was the only thing I never had to motivate myself to do — so I asked myself what else in life might feel that way. The answer was film. I resigned to the terrifying fact that I had to move to Los Angeles, and at 22 I did, without knowing a soul. I lived in my car and a storage unit for stretches of time back then. Worth it.

In 2010 I bought my first Canon 5D and taught myself to shoot. The pictures here aspire to be something more than basic. Also on this page: an installation I created for the Kahilu Theatre on the Big Island, and a few years of board service with the Prince Dance Company.
